Audition Requirements:
Prepare a monologue or scene based on the character for which you are auditioning (2-3 minutes in length). Refer to the audition pack for detailed character requirements.
Be prepared for possible cold reads and group scenes during the audition process.
Actors of all identities and backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
Must demonstrate a Southern American accent.
Strong ability to balance humour with emotional depth is essential.
If required, callbacks will be scheduled for Tuesday 4th March at 7:30 pm.
All auditionees must be 18 years or older at the time of the audition.

Available Roles:
M’Lynn Eatenton (40s-50s): A strong, compassionate mother who provides emotional stability. Requires subtlety in portraying dry humour and grief.
Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie (Mid 20s to early 30s): M’Lynn’s vibrant, independent daughter, filled with life despite her health struggles. Requires charm and emotional vulnerability.
Truvy Jones (40s-50s): Charismatic and witty salon owner. Must have strong comedic timing and warmth.
Ouiser Boudreaux (60s-70s): Wealthy, sharp-tongued, and independent with a heart of gold. Must have excellent comic timing and convey moments of tenderness.
Clairee Belcher (60s-70s): Former first lady of the town, witty, and socially aware. Requires charm, comedic timing, and a Southern accent.
Annelle Dupuy-Desoto (Early 20s): Shy, sweet newcomer who gains confidence throughout the play. Must demonstrate growth and vulnerability.
