Synopsis: She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, a high school teacher who leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she embarks on an action-packed journey in a fantastical world filled with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture references. This high-octane play by acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen explores themes of sexuality, grief, and identity, paying tribute to the geek and warrior within us all.

Audition Requirements:
Complete the Expression of Interest form.
Prepare a Monologue: A 1 - 2 minute monologue from a contemporary play. Can be comedic or dramatic. Please use neutral/your own accent.
Special Talent: Something special you want to show us! In past auditions, people have whipped out all sorts of tricks from singing songs to making balloon animals to simply showing off how far back they can bend their thumbs. This is just a fun way to get to know a little more about you - so please don’t overthink it or stress
Auditions will be conducted in 15 minute blocks. You may also be required to ‘cold read’ a scene from the play which will be presented to you on the day.
If you’re unable to make it to in-person auditions, submit an audition tape before February 18th.

Tilly Evans: Female, late teens, a geeky teenager who transforms into a powerful paladin in the game.
Chuck: Male, late teens, a Dungeon Master and guide to Agnes in the game.
Miles: Male, 20s, Agnes’ sweet but unsure boyfriend.
Lilith/Lilly: Female, late teens, a demon queen in the game and Tilly's secret girlfriend in real life.
Kaliope/Kelly: Female, late teens, a strong and beautiful Dark Elf Ranger.
Orcus/Ronnie: Male, late teens, a demon overlord obsessed with TV.
Vera: Female, 20s, Agnes’s witty best friend and high school guidance counsellor.
Evil Gabbi & Evil Tina: Female, late teens, cheerleader succubi who bully Tilly.
Ensemble: Various roles, including wraiths, bugbears, dragons, and other monsters.
