Synopsis: Sun, sand, shiraz, and storytelling with surreptitious sex. Seven ladies embark on a writing course and holiday in Bali, only to get more than they bargained for in this character-driven comedy full of surprises, fun, and poignancy. The women’s writing classes quickly become secondary to their personal dramas, backgrounds, and expectations. Ready for a holiday with a twist?

  • Honor (Female, 45 - 65) – Flamboyant, sexy, threw her partner out for cheating.

  • Rita (Female, 45 - 65) – Outspoken, noisy, a Jewish ‘momma’. Calls a spade a spade.

  • Sue (Female, 45 - 65) – Pragmatic, worldly wise, straightforward, always on the lookout for the next big thing in media.

  • Moira (Female, 45 - 65) – Unmarried, prim & proper, no swearing, hypochondriac

  • Chris (Female, 45 - 65) – Subdued, introspective. Phone is always on & ringing. Public sector worker.

  • Clare (Female, 25 - 35) – Uncertain, young, attractive, earth-mother. Yoga teacher, always loses stuff.

  • Gareth (Male, 25 - 65) – Nervous, intimidated by women. Over-eager, anxious tutor.
