Synopsis: Bright. Young. Things. is a fast-paced, funny play by Georgia Christou about identity, parental pressure, and the media. It follows six contestants competing for the coveted Golden Brain trophy to earn the title of "Brainiest Child." Each round brings harsher pressure as the contestants face unexpected questions and challenges. The play explores themes of identity, competition, and what it means to "win."
Audition Date: Sunday, April 6th
Audition Time: 1pm – 5pm (Time slots: 1pm-2pm, 2pm-3pm, 3pm-4pm, 4pm-5pm)

Audition Requirements: Prepare a monologue and any special skills you may wish to showcase. While the skills aren’t necessary for the performance, they could add interest if included. Cold reads of the text and workshopping some scenes will also be part of the audition.

Rochelle: A contestant who wasn’t planning to be there.
Sheara: A contestant, Jasmine’s twin, not quite as good as her sister.
Jasmine: A contestant, Sheara’s twin, loves her sister.
Bernie: A contestant, good at numbers, less good with people.
Hester: A contestant, shouldering the world’s problems one grade at a time.
Amber: A contestant, the youngest, has a weak stomach.
Rochelle’s Dad: Works at the studio, a struggling father.
Presenter 1 or 2: TV personalities to keep the show running.
Producers: Businessmen, the orchestrators of the drama.
Frankie: Producers’ assistant.
Make-Up Artist.
Lady Regina Rustington: A judge.
Neil Pullover: A judge.
Rochelle’s Mum: Absent.
