Synopsis: Mae lives on a farm in feverish poverty with her not-brother, Lloyd. Desperate for a better life, she pursues education as a means of escape. But Lloyd resents her ambition, preferring their stagnant existence. When he falls ill, Mae turns to neighbour Henry for help, leading to a darkly comic love-hate triangle. Trapped by those who depend on her, Mae must find a way out—if she isn't already stuck.
