Synopsis: Ladies in Black is set in 1950s Sydney and follows the story of Lisa, a bright, bookish school leaver who joins the staff at the upscale department store F.G. Goode’s. Over a transformative summer, Lisa befriends the lively and diverse characters in the women’s clothing department. Each character faces significant life changes, navigating independence, work, and womanhood.
